Austrigo was born out of personal experience.
Not from a business plan. But from several years of living and working in Austria.
During that time I worked at various hotels and in different roles. I worked in restaurants, at reception, in housekeeping, the laundry room and other departments. I learned how the hotel world works from many different angles, and along the way I travelled a large part of the Austrian Alps.
Working in Austria gave me far more than just the chance to earn good money. I discovered new places, met great people, learned languages and gained experience that would have been hard to come by back home.
At the same time, I also saw the other side of it.
I often felt that some agencies mainly cared about the number of positions filled and their own commission. Much less attention was paid to whether an employee actually fit well with the hotel, whether both sides were happy, and whether the cooperation lasted longer than a few weeks.
That's exactly when the idea for Austrigo was born.
